Sculptra® Aesthetic is designed to be tolerated well by nearly any patient and can be used for various skin types.

How is Sculptra Injected?
Sculptra® Aesthetic is particularly effective at targeting signs of aging in the middle and lower areas of the face. It’s typically injected under the skin into those target areas.
Step 1: Cleanse Injection Site
The injection site will be cleaned with an antibacterial agent to remove any debris beforehand. A topical numbing solution may also be applied to minimize discomfort.
Step 2: Administer Injection
Sculptra® Aesthetic is injected under the skin and massaged for the best effect. Injections only take moments and are relatively painless.
Step 3: Cleanse and Recover
The treated area is cleaned once more, and an ice pack is placed over the injection site to combat swelling.

What is Sculptra Recovery Like?
After 24 hours: There will be some discomfort at injection sites. The most common side effects from Sculptra® Aesthetic are swelling, tenderness, minor pain, bruising, and bleeding.
After 2-3 days: Most of the swelling has faded away and discomfort has subsided.
After 1 week: Patients should be fully recovered.
Exercise
Most patients can walk out of their doctor’s office immediately after a Sculptra® Aesthetic treatment and resume their normal activities.
Patients should take care to avoid too much sun exposure and massage injection sites in the days after treatments for the best results.

How Long Does it Take to See Results from Sculptra?
Unlike other fillers, the effects of Sculptra® Aesthetic won’t be immediately apparent as it takes some time for your body to fully absorb it and start collagen production.
Instead, improvement appears over time as more collagen is produced, stimulating skin regeneration. Repeated treatments are necessary to get the desired results.
