Chin Augmentation Procedure
Chin augmentation is a relatively simple outpatient procedure that can be performed in 30 to 60 minutes using local anesthesia or general anesthesia. A small incision is created underneath the chin or inside the mouth where the lip meets the gums. The implant is inserted through one of these incisions and positioned over the jaw bone. Bandages and a compression garment are placed around the chin after the surgery is completed.
