How Is Neck Reshaping Performed?
To remove fatty deposits on the neck and under the chin, the area will be numbed with local anesthesia. Small incisions are needed to insert the closed system cannulas. A fluid injection technique is injected into the area. And usually the ultra-assisted liposuction (UAL) technique is used to remove the fatty deposits and reshape the neck, jaw and chin.

How Long is Recovery from Neck Liposuction?

There will likely be some swelling and bruising, but this should dissipate quickly, and most people can return to work in a few days after their procedure. Neck Liposuction FAQs
Are neck liposuction and neck lift surgery similar?
While both procedures can improve the appearance of the neck, chin and jawline, they are different procedures. Neck liposuction only removes fatty deposits in the neck area, as it does not tighten or remove excess skin or reshape the muscles. The two procedures can be performed together if there are fat deposits that need to be removed before a neck lift is completed to remove excess skin and tighten the neck tissue.
Will neck or under-the-chin fat return after liposuction?
Liposuction permanently removes fat cells from the desired area. These cells will no longer exist under the chin or on the neck, so they will not return. However, if a patient gains weight, other fat cells in the body can become larger.
Will I have scars after neck reshaping surgery?
There are tiny incisions made to accommodate the cannulas for liposuction. These incisions are only about 2mm in width and are located under the chin where they are hard to see. If you follow post-care instructions from our team, the scars should be nearly invisible once they heal completely.
